MIAMI MUSIC BOOKING GUIDE
How to book a DJ or live artist for an event in Miami.
Booking a DJ or artist in Miami usually costs between $5,000 and $250,000+, depending on the name, the date and the production involved. Plan around the city’s peak weeks, make a credible offer to the artist’s agent, and lock in the rider, production and contract before you announce. Here is how it works.
Why Miami is different
Miami is one of the busiest live music cities in the world. Big DJs and artists pass through all year, which is good news for your options, but demand spikes hard during a few key weeks and prices and availability move with it. This guide is written by Sünde Entertainment, a talent booking agency that grew up in Miami’s event scene and is still based here. Our founder has booked artists, DJs and live acts for clubs, festivals, private parties, casinos and brand launches in over 30 countries.
What a DJ or artist costs in Miami
Typical fee bands for a single performance, before travel and production.
Local and rising talent
Respected local and regional DJs, emerging artists, and polished cover and tribute acts. Great for private parties, corporate receptions and smaller brand events.
Established names
Club DJs with a strong following and well-known live acts for intimate venues, hotel events and launches.
Touring headliners
Recognizable touring DJs and classic acts that bring a crowd and instant energy to galas, festivals and VIP events.
Major headliners
Chart artists, legendary live acts and top-tier DJs for large private events, brand moments and festival stages.
Global superstars
A small group of the world’s biggest artists, where availability, routing and production matter as much as the fee.
These are typical ranges, not quotes. We share exact pricing privately once we know your date, venue and brief.
Miami’s busiest weeks
Book as early as you can if your date falls around these periods. Artists are in high demand, hotels fill up and fees can rise.
Winter holidays, New Year’s Eve and major sporting events in South Florida also tighten availability.
Step by step
Define the event and the vibe
Start with the occasion (private party, gala, product launch, club night, festival or corporate event), the audience and the energy you want. A sunset rooftop, a late-night club set and a black-tie dinner call for very different artists.
Set your budget
Decide your range for the performance fee, then leave room for flights, hotel, ground transport, production and hospitality. Because we know estimated fees across the market, we can tell you right away which artists your budget can realistically reach.
Lock the date and venue details
Check your date against Miami’s busy weeks, and confirm the venue’s capacity, sound limits, curfew and load-in times. Outdoor and waterfront venues often have specific rules on noise and timing, and the artist’s team will ask about them.
Build a shortlist that fits
Choose artists who match your crowd and your brand, and keep options across a couple of fee levels. We aren’t tied to a roster, so we recommend the acts that genuinely suit your event, including artists already playing in Miami around your date.
Make a credible offer to the artist’s agent
Artists are represented by agents who receive far more offers than their clients can play. The ones that get accepted are clear and credible: date, venue, set length, audience, fee and who the client is.
This is where booking through Sünde makes the biggest difference. We know most of the agents and managers personally from previous events, and we are selective about the offers we bring them. An offer from us tells the artist’s team it is serious and worth their time, which gets faster answers and better terms.
Agree the rider and production
Most artists send a technical rider (DJ equipment, backline, sound and lighting) and a hospitality rider (dressing room, catering, travel and hotel). Make sure your venue and production company can deliver it, or negotiate alternatives before signing.
Sign a reviewed contract
The contract should cover the fee and deposit, set times, travel and accommodation, rider, cancellation and weather terms, recording and social media rights, and any radius clause that limits other shows nearby. At Sünde, every agreement is reviewed by a Florida-based attorney before anyone signs.
Run the night
Confirm arrival, sound check and set times a few days out, assign one person to look after the artist, and keep a contact for their tour manager on hand. We stay reachable until the artist is on stage.

Miami music booking questions
How much does it cost to book a DJ in Miami?
Booking a DJ or live artist for an event in Miami typically costs between $5,000 and $250,000+ for the performance, depending on the artist's profile, the date and the set length. Local and rising talent usually falls between $5,000 and $25,000, established names between $25,000 and $50,000, touring headliners between $50,000 and $100,000, major headliners between $100,000 and $250,000, and global superstars above $250,000. Travel, hotel and production come on top.
When is it hardest to book artists in Miami?
Demand peaks around Miami Music Week in March, the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix weekend in spring, Art Basel Miami Beach in early December, and the winter holidays and New Year's Eve. Book as early as possible for those dates.
What is an artist rider?
A rider is the list of requirements attached to an artist's contract. The technical rider covers equipment, backline, sound and lighting; the hospitality rider covers the dressing room, catering, travel and hotel. Your venue and production team need to be able to deliver it.
How far in advance should I book a DJ or artist in Miami?
For peak weeks, start several months ahead. For other dates, four to eight weeks is usually workable, and simpler bookings can sometimes be secured in as little as 48 to 72 hours when the artist is available.
